- Multi-family home
- A multi-family home is a single building, or group of buildings on one lot, designed to house more than one household in separate units — including duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, townhomes, and multiplexes. In British Columbia, multi-family builds are increasingly used to add rental income and family housing under new density rules.
- Custom home
- A custom home is a one-of-a-kind house designed and built to a specific homeowner's requirements on their own lot, rather than from a fixed builder template. Vivanta Constructions builds custom homes across Metro Vancouver from $300 per square foot.
- Laneway house
- A laneway house is a small, detached secondary home built on the same lot as a main house, usually facing the back lane. In Vancouver, laneway homes are commonly used for rental income or multi-generational family living.
- Duplex
- A duplex is a single building divided into two separate residential units, side-by-side or up-and-down. Duplexes let owners live in one unit and rent the other, or house extended family.
